Since I reside in Denmark, thord.dk is naturally in Danish. However, in this section I present IFS in English for people not familiar with this beautiful language. But, since the possibilities for using translation tools on internet texts are plenty (should you feel like reading my Danish scribbles) I’ll make this text short:
Internal Family Systems is an amazing tool for working with our emotional and thought patterns. This stems from that IFS is a basically great tool of communications that, if used well, is able to bridge differences and allow our most vulnerable, as well as our most problematic, sides to voice their true needs.
When the frames for communication are safe, then therapy can go deep and the long wished-for changes can take place. In this way IFS is a very gentle and a very effective therapy-modality at the same time.
